This product supports an acidic soil wetland ecosystem and the straws are sustainably cropped and handmade by craftswomen from Duc Hue, Long An province. The producer will plant a tree which every surgar cane straw box bought. They will plant trees in the rainy season from May to October each year.

 

Sugar Cane Straw helps people from wetlands get more income and acknowledge the values of the ecosystem they’re living in, in order to protect the area from harmful industrial activities. Protecting this ecosystem means the local biodiversity is protected. The people selectively crop the sugar cane by hand instead of cutting it with a sickly and mass burning.
